Famous French writer Frédéric Beigbeder during the meeting with readers at the book festival in Moscow asks the President V. Putin to make Russia a place of real democracy.

Later he added that he is puzzled by the fate of Russia’s political prisoners, recalling that “the whole of Europe condemns the imprisonment” of Mikhail Khodorkovsky. “He is imprisoned for too long, it’s time to let him go” – concluded Beigbeder, insisting that Pussy Riot should not repeat his fate.
